I broke the rules, and I lost

| | Comments (0)

Ouch. Ouch, ouch, ouch OUCH! I broke the rules against outdoor exposure, and my pasty skin has now taken on a red glow to it. Yup, I am burnt. Not to a crisp, mind you, but still painfully sore and I know it will only get worse tomorrow. I don't do well in the sun, see, and when I realized this was going to be a major problem, I came home and put sunscreen on, and grabbed some food and water for the rest of the evening, which held The Foster Martin Band and BTO, plus an amazing fireworks show. More on all that later in this day, as I am too sore, tired and sun soaked to think straight.

Let's just say this, when you plan for the rain to fall till 'late afternoon' like the weather-liars tell you, DON'T LISTEN! They are never right. Not only that, but when they are right, it is the one time you plan for him to be wrong. I think it is partly my fault, you see, for late afternoon to me is right around when the sun would be going down. I forgot, apparently, that in the middle of summer this does not happen until mid evening. Bah! I broke the first geek rule about not going outside, and I am now going to pay, and pay dearly indeed. Night.
