Again!

For those who are wondering why there were no blog posts yesterday, and those wondering why I have not been on IM, there is a good reason for this. Blinking lights. Yup, for those who recall those words from being offline on Hargrave, you know I am offline. It began about 1:30 yesterday afternoon, just as I was getting ready to go to work. I noticed the lights blinking, and began a fast iteration of the usual things to check, power cycle, reboot, and so on, but nothing worked. I had not let my mother that I didn't need a wake up call(yes, I still need my mommy to wake me up, which is fine for me as it ensures I miss no work) so when she called this morning I asked her to call Shaw, and also see about dropping the $25 deposit for Hydro that they want for me to stay powered. These she agreed to, even though neither was settled until this afternoon.

After my mother called Shaw, my worst fears were relieved, as they did not order a disconnect on me, though that was a very real possibility as I found out upon getting home last night that it was not only my internet, but this time it was also my TV. Yeah, thank god I bought Diablo, let me tell you. So, they are coming on Friday morning to reconnect me, or at least figure out the hitch, and while I plan to keep posting in the same format as detailed here on GeekMeltdown, they won't be uploaded at all until such time as I get online. Thankfully it should be only 2 days, but anything is possible. Sorry for any emails not replied to, and blog pushback not given. I will try to post when I hit my parent's tonight, but all of that is up i the air now. More later.
