Canada not to blame

I was ecstatic just now to hear those who have been saying the huge power outage in the North East began in Canada now saying that it was not. I found it ironic that the Mayor of New York and other affected people thought it was ok to blame Canada automatically, while the experts where smart enough to say that they could not, and would not, assign blame until it was certain who should get it. I therefore smiled when I read this morning that they suspect it was a problem in Ohio, not Ontario(though I can see where the pro's made the mistake yesterday) as Bloomberg originally though. Sadly, I see that Ontario may take until Sunday to get all of their power back on, which is a very long time to be in the dark, and without a computer. Hopefully they're wrong again.

Well.. I've been back in "power" since 8:30 Thursday evening, with small power outages since. Nothing too bad, but it's certainly different than having no power problems.

That is excellent to hear, Chris, what area are you in?

Three lines go down. One sags and touches a tree and shorts out. The economy is hit with a sledge hammer. Who needs terrorists?

i always blame canadians. leprosy. crime. the deficit. the bush administration. all canada's fault.

the fact that this is where my ex girlfriend is from would of course have nothing to do with that. nothing at all.

;-)

I was without power (in downtown toronto!) for 37 hours! When the power went out. it was in the middle of a 50% finance final, my prof opened the windows and said.. "keep writing". prick! the first night was fun. talking to neighbours... seeing mars and the bright stars in the city. but by the next night.. i needed my cable connection back!
