For those who are not WoW players, or happen to be living under a rather large rock formation, you may not have known that today was a pretty big day for a few people in the world. World of Warcraft, or WoW, which currently has over 8 million players, got a lot bigger, in at least a few ways early this morning. The Burning Crusade, the first expansion to the world's most popular MMORPG, was released at midnight this morning in each of the respective time zones around the world, beginning with the UK and Europe. While it is unclear how many people will be buying the expansion in it's varied formats, one thing is certain: The World of Warcraft has now changed completely, and I can't wait to check it out. My copy is installing right now...
