I was watching the most recent episode of Stargate SG-1, and in the episode, the SGC is invaded by replicators, little robots that consume other metal objects and technology to grow and evolve, and all of a sudden they stop. A few minutes later, they restart their attack. The first thing that hit my mind when they stopped was "must be running WinME', and then when they came back on 'Yup, had to reboot". Yes, I am a geek. I am currently reading the Michael J Fox autobiography Lucky Man, and I note that he refers to his life in the first few years of education and he was hyper and had an 'overwhelming appetite for stimulation'. He writes that they tried to get him on the Ritalin equivalent of the time. sadly, I doubt schools have yet learned how to deal properly with such gifted and smart individuals.
